I've been rewatching Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy) again for the last couple of nights. Just a few episodes at a time. A lot of people aren't keen on the animation in this series but I think it's quite charming. I remember watching the original and I always liked it but I loved so much that this series had a darker tone to it. It's been said that they could have made it more modern for the times. That was (still is) a trend with anime but I had more respect for the fact that they stayed true to the original character designs. It was a loving effort I appreciated greatly as a viewer. The story itself is what keeps me watching it though. I like the pace and feel bad when it's over because I want to see more. We did get a modern Atom back in 2009 but yeah...I don't like to talk about that :P

Anyway, it's an older series at this point but I don't feel it's aged beyond viewing today. Sorry, not sure why I'm posting this exactly. It was just on my mind at the moment and I felt like sharing...no matter how useless the thought may be. Maybe I want to hear what others think about this and other older anime they've watched. I like to think we all rewatch something every now and again and I've wondered if anyone else ever felt the same. Maybe appreciating the show for what they feel about it, even if it's not the common opinion.
