[Playstation Newb Alert] If I buy a US PSVita, will I still be able to set up a JP Playstation Network account? There are tutorials for setting it up and adding credit to it, that's right? Just asking for Christmas so I might download PjDF/F2nd Also, is there any other regional PSN that offers Project Diva?
Short answer: Yes! (To the first part anyway, I'm assuming there are no other regions with Project Diva, but I'm not too sure about the Asian regions besides Japan) Long answer: It is not as easy as it is on the PSP and the PS3, but here are some instructions on how to do it: http://kotaku.com/5983578/how-to-play-j ... anese-vita
I mention other regions because on several threads apparently you can get Project Diva on [ASIA] regions? Can someone confirm that? Is there also a tutorial for adding points/credit to foreign regions' PSN?
I would think you could get at least PDf on the Asian store. Pretty sure it's a worldwide Sony policy that all Vita games have a PSN release. Can't say for the PSP games, but I'm almost certain they'd be there. Regarding adding points, you'll have to have a credit card for the corresponding region or you'll have to buy point cards/codes online for the proper region and redeem them in the store. There are a lot of sites that do this. I like Japan-Codes. Play-Asia likes to rip you off.
I've actually found some codes cheaper on each of those sites (those are the two I use). It depends on the denomination you're looking for as well as the current price point (it seems to fluctuate from time to time), but I would check both before purchasing if you decide to go that route.
I've only found Play-Asia comparable if they're having a sale. I haven't checked in a while, but they used to charge $80 for 5000 yen cards.
I think I'll register a JP Store account to take advantage of that discounted PjD f (which is convinently going to be released Dec 21) Now the decision of the year I have to make is: Will I buy the current PSVita model or import the Vita 2000? :L I don't want to inconvinience my parents so I'll wait if Sony will announce the Vita 2000 for the US, I'd pick it up.
