    So there was a glitch that allows the player to do some... um... questionable things, and people were buying the physical release for "collecting purposes" because you know, Japan.

    V.1.0.3 is out; Fixing multiple bugs, two being a prominant timing issue, & that one module glitch brought up by @Doctopus. (I think the game is selling out because it’s a solid game, not because of ‘that’ bug’)

    DLC Song Packs #2 & #3 are due out on FRIDAY THE 13TH.

    I hope they release some updates to improve the low res/low fps of some of the music videos. But yep, overall it's a solid game I'm loving it.

    Well we don't have the exact data to prove that or otherwise, but the glitch certainly went viral to the point that we got "mega39 pantsu" listed as the second result for a moment when searching "mega39s" on twitter, as well as multiple mentions in multiple asian gaming communities.

    (Arguably it makes SARS-CoV-2 looks like nothing)

    No worries Miku-chan, I respect your integrity, haha. Thus I have not attempted this bug myself. IMO, it's not much different than slapping the swimsuit outfit on any module though. I usually prefer the susume option with a custom hair and maybe an accessory anyway :)

    Second (and third) verse, same as the first. (each pack containing 6 songs alongside their respective modules, they are unlocked as soon as the game updates for Season Pass owners, and Module Key owners will also have the modules unlocked) Some of these songs are (depending on people’s tastes) inclusions that make sense for their historical significance, and I was worried that they’d be lost to the sands of time prior to this pair announcements.

    It’s always been hard to decide either to celebrate 3/9 or MAR.10, but at least one guy was able celebrate both with the game’s T-Shirt edit feature. (If you’re games journalist Willie Clark; this is the closest to that #3 thing you made on that list titled “5 Mario Crossovers We’d Totally Play” for IGN)

    I think the reason why a song based on and includes imagery of Hanafuda hasn’t comeback in this series is pretty obvious. Maybe in Song Pack #6, or maybe as a part of possible Season 2 given how impressive this game’s sales are in the span of less than a month compared to Future Tone’s overall sales within less than 4 years.

    I was sarcastically implying Nintendo (look up Hanafuda, and you’ll see them as early as 1889, still monopolizing the Hanafuda card industry to this day) but licensing could also be the case too, and is simply why I don’t make a list of desired songs, as it’s usually up to SEGA, Piapro and the producers in question.

    Project DIVA MegaMix is heading to the West as a digital exclusive (for obvious reasons) on May 15th.


    You can pre-purchase the game for $39.39 (MMD= MikuMikuDollars) with the 4-song Theme Song Pack for free (and will be available to people who didn’t pre-order starting June 12th), or the Mega Pack that includes the base game and the other 40 downloadable songs for $59.99. (Or just download the demo, doesn’t really matter)
