So the game is available for pre-purchase in Japan: and the file size is 13.8GB, that’s 21.2 less than Future Tone and all it’s DLC (which is 35 GB according to @Doctopus) https://ec.nintendo.com/JP/ja/titles/70010000018699 (I was guessing 20.17 GB, but guess not.)
FT is 35GB with FS+CT+all DLCs and I'm pretty sure the arcade version has the same size as well (7.10+all mdata). Also did I see an attempt to avoid the 32GB tax? :P
I preordered the 10th anniversary edition while it was in stock :) https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/HGA-11 Can't wait, but I hope it ships fast since it's coming from Japan.
PlayAsia’s shipping on release date: I’ve spent $75.89 (USD) with express shipping to boot, and maybe Monday will be the day I can join in and ‘again, shed that Non-Player status of mine’. EDIT: they are delivering on release day.
Yea almost no real updates except the official controller, and they screwed up. Really SEGA? That's not how demo videos should work. Also 36 FT songs coming back via DLC, as expected.
looked at the ProjectDIVA.wiki facebook page to find out about this: A DLC Season Pass is in the works for $40 (Yen to USD) outside of the Theme Song Pack: Song Pack #1 will be available at launch, containing the following songs: Close and Open, Demons and the Dead, Hachi Electrosaturator, tilt-six Meltdown, Iroha Double Lariat, AgoanikiP Ashes to Ashes, Tennen Break It, Break It!, E.L.V.N. These songs will also come packaged with their respective Modules. The trademark “Module Key” will be available as well for those who want to have access to all modules quicker. (honestly where’s the fun in that?) The other 5 packs will come in the coming months, essentially the shortest season I ever saw, (compared to Smash Ultimate’s Fighter Pass Volume 2) depending on the game’s success; we might see another season or two, or THIRTY-NINE if this is the rate there going at. March 2019 Song Pack #2 Song Pack #3 April 2019 Song Pack #4 Song Pack #5 May 2019 Song Pack #6 Any song you want to see return? Any song you want introduced in Rhythm Game form? “Don’t be shy, leave a reply!” (what a jingle indeed) [PERSONAL UPDATE: my copy is due to arrive TOMORROW at 10:30 A.M. PST: so it won’t be too long; at least I got myself something to do until I watch the Sonic Movie at 8 P.M.]
Happy to see all my favorites that I can remember off the top of my head in the main game song list, but hell yeah I'll be getting that season pass. CD Japan status says "in shipping process", woooo ^^
Yeah, I was surprised when I saw all those FT songs missing. Glad to see Project diva will have several monthly updates. Keep her singing guys and enjoy the game.
Are those songs from FT DLC or the main game? I suppose it kinda sucks anyway, I would have expected any DLC for Mega39's to be brand new songs. HOWEVER, are any of the songs releasing with Mega39's brand new? If so, then it would make sense to re-release some old stuff as DLC.
Hibana PV on 43" - 4K - IPS calibrated monitor: Obviously not better than PC/PS4 but looks good. Teo PV: Greetings
@cyberkevin Some exciting news: The "dedicated controller" mode (at least for Switch) actually emulates the arcade slider very accurately. It's similar to the slider modes I developed in terms of switching between 2 emulation methods but the switching is done inside the game. On chain slides the controller emulates analog stick rotations that correspond to the finger movement and the game automatically switches to reading the stick rotation angle instead of tilting directions. Even better: this mode works with ANY controllers! This means DIY slider has never been easier than now. To use the native mode all you need to do is to switch it on in game, then use an Arduino to read a arcade-esque slider and convert finger movements to stick tilts and rotations using some digital potentiometers. Bad news? To anyone who bought the official controller, congrats for wasting $$$ for science :P (jk) EDIT: NO
I played the demo last night! The game is basically like having future tone on your switch, combined with the new texture style. Framerate is buttery smooth and very fun to play handheld. I wasn't terribly fond of the switch button icons so I changed them back to arcade style symbols. Didn't try it in mode where you hold the undocked joycons in each hand though, I'll check that out tonight. And CD Japan seems to be a great place to preorder from. Even though the item apparently just shipped yesterday, it says the expected delivery is tomorrow. Good good good :)
My copy came in yesterday; and for the most part, it’s like @kmidst said; it’s basically Future Tone for Nintendo Switch. While the PV frame-rate and the resolution of said PVs in Handheld mode is somewhat disappointing, it doesn’t contract from the fact the game itself is still 60fps, and it’s still Future Tone, made better by the flexibility of the Switch and doubled with Mix Mode’s existance.
I forget where it was, but somewhere on this forum you guys were brainstorming ideas for what color joycons to use to make the switch feel more Project Diva style. Check this out, it's almost perfect colors from Miku's Catching the Wave theme song outfit ^^
39みゅーじっく! (39 Music!) Alien Alien Alien Alien is very funny to play. Amazing song XD Slider seems less responsive on Switch than PS4/PC.
Yes, there is a lot of difference in feeling. XD Needs much more travel to fill the slider gauge on Switch.
