The V2.0 Full Edition is finished! ( fixed console compatibility ) If you use it on the console please let me know if it worked, this patch has only been tested on emulators It works the same for both PSP and PSVita, if you try it in any of them let me know to record the info in the "Reports" tab of the blog to guide those who are going to use it on the console as well (Your (Nick)name will appear next to the info... as long as it is not "Unknown" or "Anonymous" :P) May be some errors in the videos translation, if you find any please let me know ;D To do: Translate songs (Because I speak Spanish, it is a bit difficult for me to translate songs into English... The songs remain in Romaji) More information on the official patch blog: https://divafanproject.blogspot.com/2020/02/english-patch--project-diva-extend.html Bonus 1: Bonus 2: Opening: Note: I've been a bit busy these last few days, sorry for the delay... enjoy the game!
I remember the first time I tried Project Diva.. It was may be december 2009 and it was already with fan translation at that time (if I can say so) and I was amazed! But next games, such as PD Extended - I do not remember that I've seen something like that, so finally! :))
It is just a testing version, there are still some small tweaks missing but I already think that between the end of this month and the beginning of the next (or perhaps much earlier...) I will have the full version ready For now the most complicated part is the Translation of the songs, my native language is Spanish and my English is a bit basic so it is a bit difficult for me to translate songs into English, I can try to search for them on the internet but many of them need to adjust to the limits of the game file therefore that makes me a bit complicated too but I hope I can do something to translate them as well :) Greetings! and I'm glad you liked it =D
I think on youtube for sure you can find translations of all songs, and I'm sure that they are "verified" by community, and maybe somewhere else too, so you can use it without questions :)
Yes, you're right but my internet is super limited and I can't see videos on youtube D': Watching a video of a few minutes on Youtube is like watching the Matrix trilogy without pauses XD It's a bit slow and they give me a few megabytes since where I live there is no cable or Wi-Fi (I use 3G...), I think there is no satellite signal either because the GPS tells me that I am 100Miles from my true position XD XD Another problem is that the game has a limit of 50 characters per lyric (including spaces), therefore there are many lyrics of songs that exceed that limit so they need to be adjusted or even retranslated and that complicates things a little more... Anyway... thanks for your suggestion! ;D Cheers! =D
Daaaamn, that's sad :) You mean, that's something like limitation from japanese symbols that used originally?
But in other way, no need in full translations if it's doesn't fits the length of string, but may be something close to this, to just understand about what song at this moment then to make something like karaoke with literal translation.
Yep, It is not necessary for the translation to be exact, it is only necessary to understand what the song wants to express, each phrase can be expressed in a shorter one in order to be able to adjust it to the limit of the game without problems, a too exact translation would result in long phrases and it would not be possible to include them in the game... The file where the songs are found (the executable of the game) has a limitation of 50 characters maximum per lyric (including spaces), that is, it is only capable of displaying a text of 50 characters at a time, therefore each phrase of the song must be adjusted to that limit to be able to import it to the game Because the translation is being done via hexadecimal, it is not possible to increase its length, and that is also the limit of the box where it appears during a PV game, therefore, even if its length were increased, the texts would go out of their designated area...
I'm going to try to do a retranslation using the songs from our Spanish patch just like I did in this beta with Look this way, Baby!, so I can publish two patches, one with lyrics in Romaji and the other with lyrics in English and then it will be the users who send their suggestions and corrections in order to improve them in the next version
Yep, the truth is I already have the texts in Romaji from the first versions of the patch but I wanted to translate them into English as well as we did with the Spanish patch... Although for now it does not matter, thinking better of it I leave them in Romaji and then I calmly translate them into English or I will look for translations on the internet :P If you want you can visit our blog, here we have translations for the other PD's for PSP (compatible with emulators) and that's where I upload the patch of the PD Extend in English: https://divafanproject.blogspot.com/ there you can also download the old version that has the texts in romaji but the DIVA Edit has not been translated in this version... Cheers =D
In real it's not even important element of game: I play Project Diva from 2009, but never read that lyrics, Romaji or English, because has no time for this :DD So I think that it's worthy of the same treatment, because if you'll work very hard on this - nobody could appreciate it with reason that I described above :) I have PS Vita, but I totally do not remember how to work with PSP games, that's remained in those distant times, for I sold my PSP back in 2010, probably, so remember nothing at all :D
So since I have the Japanese iso,all I have to do is use an apk patcher and I'm good?or does this go somewhere on a folder on my ppsspp?(and I'll test it for you if it works on psp too :3 )
(So I found a patcher that patches xdelta3 and so I thought the xdelta file of the translation could patch my iso copy, and it failed due to incompatibility, could I be doing something wrong or did I miss something? Just wanna know, maybe I could try a different patcher?)
Hello! The ISO you use is not compatible with this translation, most likely it has been previously modified, I will try to send you the link of a compatible ISO through a private conversation here Go to https://divafanproject.blogspot.com/p/contact.html << there you find other means where you can contact me personally Cheers =D
Is it okay to contact you through Twitter then?since I'm not really used to using Gmail in any way sorry. Thank you for the help!
Hi! http://twitter.com/Wyrdgirn and http://twitter.com/MikuKoemi Choose the one you prefer and contact me through that By the way...in advance... excuse my poor English... I speak Spanish ('^^) Cheers! =D
no it's okay^^thank you too!I also speak Spanish, problem is that English for me is much more comfortable to text and speak with it,and its not even my origin language lol☆
