Mobile suit Gundam (all anime series)

I wonder why here is no thread about this wonderful series that more then 40 years exists and develops in different variations?!

I remember that time, when I first time saw Gundam, it was Mobile suit Gundam 00 in 2008 and when I ended watch second season - it coincided with release of last episode in the end of march 2009, which I absolutely did not expect.
What is interesting for me, that this series multiple times made me cry, because war drama theme and description of the conditions in which people find themselves (and even children), being in a desperate situation, they have to take up the weapon and fight even against their best friends, because situation absorbs them totally. And there are many things that can be described besides.

But what about you? What series do you like mostly, what did you watch first, how did the acquaintance begin? Or may be you, like me, love Gundam games too (like Dynasty Warriors Gundam that I like mostly, because I love Dynasty Warriors series too)? :)
