I exported the files from all this games for corpasion. First thing i noticed is that PD1 use AFS archive format and both PD2/Extend use cpk archive format. Unlike in PD2/Extend ScriptingFiles is located in the Data asf file isntead in PSP_GAME\USRDIR\media\afs\ I also extracted the audio files The background sound is stored Data files in both games and in the audio files - The structure is absolutely same but there is one big diffrence. Unlike PD2/Extend PV's audio has no vocals. Model structure is somehow diffrent because PD1 is lagging on JPCSP and PD2/Extend is not. Maybe the first game is designed to use PSP power much as possible while PD2/Extend doesnt use so much energy or maybe is just because my shitty computer - who knows.. Also PD1 models looks glitchy in PD2/Extend. Well thats all.
PD1 mutes the vocaloid when you fail a note, thats why the music is separated from the voice (the feature was removed from PD2/Extend). There are only a Rin/Len voice tracks for two songs, the rest are for Miku.
ProjectDivaOST has the acapella files and offvocal files from PD1, I'm not sure who ripped them. (MikuHatsune?)
Look what i found in ProjectDivaOST's channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcgVHOBVrvg Appears like World is mine's acapella file is BGM_0200001.ADX but i cant find it
ProjectDIVAOST is my 2nd YouTube channel. i ripped the song files from the first game with a extract tool and converted them via winamp plugin into mp3. I could do this for PJD 2 and extend aswell but I'd Need the song files from the DT extend PS3 Version to do so, because those are missing in the PSP Versions. about the filenames, here's the readme file I made for mp3 Download requests i shared Long time ago on YouTube. If these files are missing on the PSP version how the game works? Maybe the PSP version really does have voicebanks...
Maybe your unpacker is old/bugged. I extracted them a long time ago and made mp3 of the songs by combining the off vocals with the acapella files.

The "BGM_XX.aix" number 33-47 are the Bonus Songs which are only available in Miku's Room and the Edit Mode. Those don't have off vocals or acapellas. The "Sound_XX.aix" files are song-files from menus, title Screen or Sound effects from the game.
Both Vita/PS3 version use seperated audio files except for Nostalogic and DYE c: PD1 models are higer poly than 2nd and Extend but have worse textures, for 2nd and Extend is the opposite. PD1 lags on your pc maybe because of how it was programmed, the game suffers from horrid FPS drops. PD1 Miku model has tie bones while PD2nd and Extend models don't 'cause they deleted them to give the models eye bones. All of the 3 Miku models have only 3 bones per ponytail, the only thing that changes is the way it was rigged. The 3 PD games only use 27% of the PSP graphical power. The alpha PD engine was better (higher polygon models with more bones and more details) but somehow they decided to change it. The game lacks of shading, physics, and illumination effects. All of the PD series models don't have finger bones, they're morphs/expressions. The models are separated in 2 (head file and body file). Megurine Luka was not planned to be in the game, she was a last minute decision. The alpha engine supported alpha textures and normal maps.
1: Aren't 2nd/Ext modules higher poly than the original? If you even look at the hair of the original, you can tell it's more jagged and liney compared to the newer ones. 2: Because you're supposed to be playing this on a PSP. 3: May I ask where you got this info? 4: Info again? I'd really like to know where you got some of this info to make these assumptions. PD 2nd/Ext isn't a step backwards from 1, it had many improvements over it's predecessor.
I run Project Diva 1nd and 2nd version of ""Miracle paint" using "Miku Original" module one after one using 2 diffrent emulators (PPSSPP and JPCSP). Screeshot from PD 1st Screenshot from PD 2nd Seems like Project Diva 1st models are much better then 2nd/extend's ones.. If you not notice the diffrence http://imgur.com/uCgT0lr,PYHmo8y#0
Well either way, they aren't that much higher poly to make a differance, and the 2nd/Extend models look MUCH better than it's original as everything appears much smoother in textures and everything isn't as jagged and seems like it wants to stab you. Overall though, you've only answered one of my questions.
The 3 PSP games lack of physics simulation. 1: Nope, Project DIva 1st models have more polygons compared to 2nd & Extend but all of them (the 3 games models) are around 3-5k polys except Luka. Yes, the hair looks smoother but that doesn't make a big difference. 2: Not just on the PC but also on the PSP, the game suffers of horrid FPS drops because of how it was programmed. 3/4: If you look deep into the game (teasers, trailers, gameplays, game files/engine) you'll find everything you need to know about the game and how it's constructed. *About the graphical power, you can know that by an option (i don't remember from) of the cheats menu. *The lack of shadows/shadings/illumination and physics it's kinda obvious. *Inside the game files (model folder) each model has 2 files (Skinxxx_Body & Skinxxx_Head) *The Luka related thing was discussed on an interview if i'm not wrong. *About the alpha textures/models if you see the teaser trailers/early posters or pictures or promotional stuff of the game, you'll notice that SEGA always uses a better looking model for their promotions. (smooth looking models/normal mapping and spherical maps). As for the first models, Miku's first model (The one with light-dark blue hair) it's on the game files but with a different encryption method. If you have more questions don't doubt to ask c:
1: Fine, you win, I can't personally rip both modules from 1 and 2/ext and compare right now so I'll take your word for it. But when it comes to design choice, the 2/ext Miku looks SO much better than the original. 2: From my personal experience, I don't think I ever encountered horrible FPS drops, are you using the UMD or ISO you extracted on your card? 3: *The physics in the game don't look that horrible honestly. That and we have to think about the limitations of what these models can really do, due to being on a handheld system (of the time). *I know about the modules having two models each, head and body, as I mess around with those on a daily basis. *If the first engine was better, as you say, then they most likely changed everything for, again, design choice. EX: Miku's tie was a distraction in PD1. *I do know that SEGA uses better models for promo items (you can't trick us SEGA, we know that miku isn't http://projectdiva.wikispaces.com/file/ ... _01-1b.png THIS pretty in game).
Like i already said, the games lack of Physics Simulation, the movements were animated by hand. I wasn't talking about the engine used in PD1st, i was talking about the first engine they used (the one used on the first teaser or even before). The tie bones were removed to add them to the eyes. That Miku on the picture you linked above, was the Miku that was going to be used for the game (alpha Miku model), her textures are still on the game files.
I highly doubt this is the case, you're implying that they moved every piece by hand. That counts skirts, hair, and other parts. This would be a tedious task for the creators to do, physics is a solution that creators use that would make this easier and better looking. My best evidence of physics: See the dresses Back of yellow shirt (the long part with the diamonds) and the hair moves more freely If this was only the case, then why didn't they add them back into f? The most common belief as to why the tie stops moving is because it was a distraction for players. I highly doubt this would've been used for the game, it's WAYYYY too high poly for the PSP to handle. I believe it's just there for promotional purposes to make Miku look gorgeous so we are likely to buy it. It's marketing.
