Ah! French! I'm taking it in school and we have just finished numbers, but I fear of accidentally starting to speak French instead of English in Math since I have it right afterwards... Two hundred eighty three
Oh! Foreign classes! I just finished numbers too in German! Zweihundert vierundachtzig (I think I got the spacing right? He tells us there doesn't need to be a space but I feel the need to put it there.) 284 Dangit Deutsch, switching tens and one places... along with your pronunciation. hai trăm tám mười lăm From Wikipedia Carinus (Latin: Marcus Aurelius Carinus Augustus; died 285) was Roman Emperor from 282 to 285.
[c]- 286 - One of my favourites ^_^ Would tvåhundraåttisex be correct Almeria? Also why do I keep forgetting to check my own threads?[/c]
287 or 二百八十七 since I'm studying Japanese now :3 (pronounced nihyaku hachijuu nana) You forgot the o inte åttio, otherwise correct :P You can say åtti but I don't recommend it to newbies, it's slang (granted no one says åttio or trettio or fyrtio in everyday language, the o disappears by default, but it's the "correct" way to write it that way since it's "tio" as is "ten")
二百八十八 in Chinese is pronounced「èr bǎi bā shí bā」 Lucy is the common name of AL 288-1, several hundred pieces of bone representing about 40% of the skeleton of a female Australopithecus afarensis. It was discovered in 1974 at Hadar in the Awash Valley of Ethiopia's Afar Depression. In paleoanthropology, usually only fossil fragments are found, and only rarely are skulls or ribs uncovered intact; thus this discovery was an astounding feat that provided an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence. Lucy is estimated to have lived 3.2 million years ago, and is classified as a hominid.
[c]- 290 - Ah, I see. Thank you Almeria ^_^ I'm always missing a small detail, I really need to practice my writing more...[/c]
292 is a palindrome :) JetBlue Airways Flight 292 was a scheduled flight from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. On September 21, 2005, an Airbus A320-200 operating this flight executed an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport after the nose gear jammed in an abnormal position. No one was injured.
[c]- 295 - So it shall be, I'll start building the time machine this instant my lady! Oh by the way, the delivery man called earlier. He needs a signature for that mote, you know the one for your castle? Orrr...is this is a bad time to mention that?[/c]
United Airlines Flight 297, a Vickers Viscount 745D, was a scheduled flight from Newark International Airport (EWR/KEWR) in Newark, New Jersey to Washington, D.C. with 17 people on board. On November 23, 1962 at approximately 12:24 P.M. EDT, it crashed just northwest of what is now Columbia, Maryland after striking a flock of whistling swans while cruising at 6,000 feet (1,800 m). The bird strike caused the horizontal stabilizer to separate, leading to loss of control and the crash which killed all on board. The crew were Captain Milton J. Balog, Copilot Robert J. Lewis, and Stewardesses Mary Kathryn Kline and Kaaren G. Brent. Captain Balog had been with Capital Airlines, which had operated Viscount N7430 (s/n 128) prior to Capital's merger with United. Spoiler: Offtopic I tried to search 297 on Yahoo Images but apparently SafeSearch was off so nearly half the results were porn pictures O_o What is it with 297 and porn :(
Northwest Airlines Flight 1482 was a flight scheduled from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to Pittsburgh International Airport. On 3 December 1990 a Douglas DC-9-14 commercial jet operated for the route taxied on to the active runway by mistake in dense fog and was hit by a departing Boeing 727 operating Northwest Airlines Flight 299 to Memphis. One crew and seven occupants of the DC-9 were killed. What is it with me and airplane accidents
