Well as the title would imply, what is your favourite game or best memory you had as you were growing up? Recently I just started playing Christmas Nights into Dreams along with Skies of Arcadia again and it reminded me of when I was younger and got those systems. I always have cherished those times and hope for more happy memories as time rolls on. [Edit] Just realized that I didn't even answer my own question XD For me, that Christmas I got my Dreamcast was the most memorable because it was one of the last few times we were all together and happy as a family and all that mattered was that we had each other. Sure the memory should had been about a game like I inquired for this thread but for me it's deeper than that. I use that device to remember that moment in time so I never forget.
I haven't played that many games yet (I started gaming about 3 years ago) but my favourite is Final Fantasy IX. My favourite memory is probably also from playing that game or from FFX, which was the first game I played :)
I feel you, there is nothing like the feeling of your first time playing a game and enjoying it. I remember when I first played Sonic 2 all the way back in 1995. I had never played a game before beyond what I have seen on television shows and heard about from kids in school. Not only was it the first time with a video game in general but I also had my Mother as a teacher in second grade that same year. So all in all it was a good year.
Hmm good question. My first game that I played was probably Commandor Keen. The first game that I owned and still is memorable is pokemon. But my favorite games are still Tales of... and Golden Sun.
The Tales series of games are very fun indeed. Only played a couple of them but I really like how they were made. I'm one for a deep story in either a game or show.
My total most favorite Game I have ever played is and will ever be Metroid 3: Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo. I played quite a lot of games, from the old NES to the "new" Playstation 3 (not quite new, but latest generation), and of all the consoles I own and I ever played games on, Metroid 3 has got it's special place in my collection :D Anyone who has a Super Nintendo has to play Metroid 3 at least once.
