To any of you editing gurus out there:

In Project DIVA F Edit mode, is there a way I can select all the lip movements from one character and copy/paste them to another? "Register to Palette" would seem to be the way to do this, however I can find no way to select and save a collection of lip movements, only one at a time, which makes no sense since I can select these from the lip movement sub-menu or copy paste from a single entry already on the timeline.

    *crickets*

Ok, then it would appear I'm not missing something in the editor. SEGA really did drop the ball on being able to multi select/copy/paste/move/delete. I'm just surprised no one else who has worked with the editor has mentioned this.

Considering the flood of responses, I don't think anyone except me cares anyway, so why should SEGA. /sigh...

I know it's late as a reply but as far as I know you can only copy and paste one movement at a time. I have to agree, it is very annoying :/

Hi DancingWD. Thanks for the reply and for validating my observation. It wouldn't be the first time I've missed something obvious and I wanted to make sure no one else knew of a better way.

If you actually did something like that, your lip synching would be off key. When you play with the numbers of the timing you will notice it slides gradually off key, perhaps it was a good thing to do things one step at a time and place things individually.

For example, if you had a registered palette of lip movements where the pattern was 0.3 x 0.4 x. 0.3 x 0.3 and copied and pasted it, to another, it would not match up. when breaking down music beats and trying to adapt it to the lip movement, a simple copy and paste wont work for certain songs. Strange but hey, just observation with practice.

Re: Edit Mode: Copy/Paste and the "Register to Palette" opti

    I appreciate the feedback.

I'm referring to being able to multiple copy and paste between modules (or in the same module) within the same edit/song. If I have Module 1 singing your pattern above of 0.3 x 0.4 x. 0.3 x 0.3 at the 10 second mark of the song and the character sings the exact same phrase at 30 seconds in the song, I should be able to copy that pattern and paste it at the 30 second mark. But I can't. I have to manually reinput each and every lip movement one at a time. Or I have to go back to the 10 second mark, copy that one lip movement object, go back to the 30 second mark, paste object, go back to the 10 second mark and go to the next lip movement object, copy it, move back to the 30 second mark, position the cursor that exact same number of frames from the first lip movement object in the 30 second zone as the 10 second zone, paste, move back to the 10 second zone, copy the 3rd lip movement, move back to the 30 second zone....

It's so unnecessary if the Project DIVA developers would simply introduce what makes an editor an editor; the ability to multiple select, copy, paste, move, delete. It kills me that this basic function of editing isn't incorporated into...an editor. It would make editing so much faster and easier.
