Well thanks to you Kaon, I got working on that drawing I was doing before. The only thing I regret is that the initial drawing was not near completion, that sketch book is still sitting in my desk but I wanted to start coloring the scan and here is where I am thus far. The story behind what's going on with this and why it's not finished Some background information first: I have never drawn people or anything aside from Sonic doodles and whatever basic objects were needed for school, so this was a first for me. Also it's been years since I have drawn anything freely so I was more than rusty. Now what I have learned while doing this Lesson one: Canvas size plays a huge point in any drawing, plan what you want to do around the size of the canvas. It was only too late that I realized that I wouldn't have enough space on the paper to draw all that I wanted. Lesson two: Never take long extended breaks from your work because the chances of remembering what you were going to do and the ideas in your head will fade too much making the process a frustration and not an enjoyment. In my case I would stop drawing this and pick it up during several week intervals. Lesson three: If your having an issue with something like a shape, take a short break and come back later rather than keeping at it because it will do nothing but get you more frustrated and mess things up that you may not have wanted to. Now there's nothing to say that I won't get back to finishing this once I realize what I wanted to do and in fact I've had several other ideas while doing the coloring. I think I will start something new over the weekend. You can check out the gallery here if you'd like to see the progression.
