Lucky gamers were able to play SEGA's latest in the DIVA series, Project DIVA f, in Akihabara today (they still can, it finishes in 5 hours). Scheduled to begin at 9:30AM, the SEGA team allowed people to begin playing from 8:30. At that time, there was a 200-person strong queue. At about 10, the queue grew at least 2 fold in size. After each play, gamers received a clear file with a couple of pamphlets advertising the upcoming release. Captain Kirk is calling Enterprise Spaceship ! Captain Kirk is calling Enterprise Spaceship ! Teleport to Akihabara now ! Hurry up ! Thank you very much Loserbait :)
I totally had to. There was a fairly strict "No video" policy although pictures of surroundings were OK. Sorry for the lack of audio, we were forced to use their headphones too (which were terrible... No noise cancellation, you could hear background audio, not loud enough). But it gives you an idea of the gameplay. For one thing, Normal difficulty uses Circle and Triangle now... And the loading times on an uninstalled version are a pain...
You're so lucky to be able to go to that preview. Was there any new information which materialised from this event or is it just info we know already, also was there any hinting about a PSN demo?
No new information given besides the 4Gamers interview. I talked to the producers who confirmed that as of this point in time, there are no plans on -- and therefore no work put into -- an international release. They were, however, very happy with the E3 turnout and the interest from fans (both Crypton and Sega look at the Facebook page with a fair degree of frequency). With any luck, there will be more info regarding it. I'll be going to other preview days just 'cause. And also to pressure them into it ohoho. To the Admin, sorry about the poor resolution video. For whatever reason, my phone didn't focus properly on the Vita itself UGH...
