[c]The following twenty choices are music from video games that I have played and completed in my life. This is not a "best of" list, just a small listing of music that I have liked for whatever reason. Of course feel free to post your own list and comment on mine.

    00. Sonic World Adventure - Endless Possibilities Orchestral Theme (Dark Gaia Phase II Battle Theme)

[Shame the battle itself wasn't nearly as badass...]

    01. Ristar - Planet Undertow Round 2-1 (Splash down!!!)

    02. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins - Space Zone: Space Zone 2, Star Maze

    03. Pokemon Heart Gold - Viridian Forest Remix

[Obviously Soul Silver has this theme as well...but...Gold is my favourite.]

    04. Zone of The Enders : Anubis - Compression Space

    [Zero shift for the win...sometimes!]

    05. God Eater - Tearing Through The Storm

[Something about a peaceful theme playing in the background while being you're being mauled to death...mmmm]

    06. Kingdom Hearts - Night of Fate

[I always return to this one as my favourite, the moment I first heard it in game it felt like everything you once knew was about to be torn apart and life will never be the same again...which is true in this case, still, to have music make you feel that sense of hopelessness as Sora's world is being turned upside down is still amazing and an unforgettable experience in my opinion.]

    07. Dot Hack Infection - Root Town Delta

[Oh the many hours I spent playing this series of games that one summer. Still, I'd do it again if they were to remake it in HD. Seriously, it's a lot of games and media if you want the full story, it's a commitment. 0.0]

    08. Megaman Zero 3 - Cannon Ball (Omega Zero Phase 3 Battle Theme)

("Ware wa meshia nari! Ha ha ha!" Still gives me chills when he screams that before the fight, seriously, best battle ever!)

    09. Cave Story - Gravity (A theme for certain boss fights along with scripted events.)

    10. Spyro the Dragon - Tree Tops

[A very frustrating and fun stage...if you know the layout of the map that is...]

    11. Metriod Fusion - Nightmare Boss

[The whole lab is errie enough to traverse, this guy randomly hovering around screaming in the in the background. This theme just tops the cake as his face begins to melt during the fight *or ooze? Not sure what you'd call it*]

    12. The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages - Nayru's Song

[Really gives that time-traveling air to it.]

    13. Ecco Jr. - Bay of Songs, Octopus Passage, Meeting Maze

[Always found this one pleasantly eerie considering the zone. Nothing ever happens to you in the game but this always left me with a sense of fear as you were going toward the bottom of the map into the dark. A very interesting break from the rest of the calm cheeriness of the game.]

    14. Skies of Arcadia (Eternal Arcadia) - Battle Theme #02

[For the record: All the music in this game is amazing, I just like this one in particular because you don't hear it too often. The battle themes are a bit random.]

    15. Panzer Dragoon - Flight

[This always gave me the feeling of soaring in the air on your new wings, off to adventure!]

    16. Nights into Dreams - Deep it Lies (Gulpo's battle theme)

[Again, shame the battle wasn't as good as the theme. Game's amazing though, I recommend you try it sometime if you get the chance.]

    17. Phantasy Star Online - Revolution to the origin (Floor 01)

    [That's So Dimenian! Hehehe...eh...I'm sorry.]

    18. Final Fantasy VIII - Man with the machine gun

    19. Clockwork Knight - Bob & Popot (Boss theme)

[God this theme used to panic me when you have the higher difficulty active during this fight.]

    20. Tetris - Original theme

[Oh Tetris, one of the only games I am not allowed to play because I can't stop once I get going...well it's not that bad, ten hours in a single session ins't that much right?...right?...is this thing on?]

Some aspects of this list were a bit difficult to put together due to the fact that there is so many different songs and themes I like and most people who know me know that I'm huge into music in general. So asking me to pick just one song, theme or artist for anything is just impossible. I made it more difficult because I wanted to try to be a bit varied here, not just post a bunch of things from only one game. Also I know I said twenty and the list technically ends with twenty-one articles but I like to count from zero...eh, I'm weird :/[/c]

I present, Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy. It was an absolute joy seeing them live in Stockholm a couple of years ago ^^

Here's Terras Theme (Final Fantasy VI):

Just listen to the entire album, it's amazing.

Can't say I have a top 20 list like in the OP, but I have to say the FFVI soundtrack was amazing. The Project Diva soundtracks are an obvious mention, and as a DDR player I love a lot of the music across various releases.

Well like I said before, it doesn't have to be a top twenty or something like that. I only picked twenty because I needed a limit, I would post music here all day if I didn't >_<

@Almeria Alright, I'll give it a listen later on ^^
