[c][/c] 4Gamer, a Japanese gaming magazine, has done an interview with Seiji Hayashi and Makoto Osaki, the lead producers of Project DIVA f and Project DIVA Arcade, at the public play tests in Akihabara (our forum member Loserbait has been there, check out his report!). Here are the facts they got: The mystery about the ƒ in the title has been solved: It's supposed to represent "everything we wanted the game to stand for", such as "forte" and "future". There are discussions about more Project DIVA merchandise. There will be more than 30 songs and 80 completly new modules. Only 12 levels and costumes have been announced so far, so there's a lot to come in the next months - and according to a pamphlet given to PDf demo test attendees, six of them are created just for PDf! Project DIVA Arcade will recieve songs from Project DIVA f - but there will be some things which only PDf can do, for example the new face system which gives the characters impressive expressiveness. I think we both posted this at the same time, haha. My topic disappeared though. 30 songs is plenty for the next release and is quite a realistic number given the graphical intensity of the PV's, plus the brand new features. I doubt it will reach the high that 2nd did of 46, but who knows, we could be surprised! It's going to be weird them porting the game PV's over to Arcade if certain expressions aren't available to them. Though I'm guessing they will rectify that in some way so the characters don't look completely lifeless.
Andriasang is giving further details : six of the songs are original creations just for the game (we already know Weekender Girl and ODDS & ENDS).
