    • the return of the edit mode (obviously);
    • the return of Diva room with the new Touch interactions with the Vocaloid characters (you can poke Miku now :3);
    • a POSSIBLE (but still a rumored) 2-player Play mode;
    • AR concerts now LIFE-SIZED (also rumored).

    Sorry to disappoint you, but the Adhoc mode was also in all the other games - it just means you can share Edit Data. Maybe they will add a true 2P mode, but it's very unlikely - I can't see how it would work.

    It would be nice if the multiplayer experience could be something like Jubeat does where players can play against each other in a set of 3 songs. The scores are then added up and the winner is the one with the highest total score.
    It would be nice to play with my friends who live overseas competitively on it. I didn't really use the sharing function for edits...

    In most games like that where you can interact with the character with gestures or by touching or clicking parts if you click/touch the chest or worse spots the character yells at you or turns red and say something like "Don't do that!" or something like this. It would be funny if it'd be the same in PjDf.
    In other non-ero games if you click the chest, the character will just change the outfit into something alternate.
