Hi, would like to ask if anyone here knows how to get the arcade slider mode in MM+ to work with DIY controllers? It works on my Switch, but the analog stick inputs do nothing on MM+

Try to remap forcibly buttons to buttons and slider to analog sticks through x360ce or something like that, most likely that directly game do not understand how to use that signals. Try to figure does it works principally as I described and that try to understand how to tune everything right, because it can be a little bit tricky.

I tried using x360ce, same problem. The game actually detects my controller, if i touch the middle part of the slider where left stick up is, it does scroll my menu up when the arcade controller setting is disabled. But when I enable that setting, the sticks still get detected but does nothing. I can tell because the icons turn into PC icons when i move my mouse, and turn into Switch icons when i touch my slider. The same happens with my DS4. I don't think it's affected by mods, tried disabling all my mods and it still didn't help

So exactly, what controller do you use? Or as arcade slider you mean official arcade slider?

I use my own DIY controller, which uses an Arduino Pro Micro. Steam and MM+ detect it as a Switch Pro controller. Do i have to somehow trick the game to think it's a Hori controller?

No, you do not need to make game think it's hori, forget about hori and arcade regime in game. Make the game think like it's normal gamepad. Try to use Steam gamepad settings. But I think that you were not fully right set up x360ce.

My controller mappings are correct, maybe this vid can show you what I mean by the game being able to detect my analog stick inputs. You can see the icons turn into keyboard icons, then back to Switch icons when i switch between keyboard and my controller. And i didn't show in the vid, but it works on my Switch, but i want mods

Maybe, I do not understand something, but at first I do not see that your movement of "analog stick" in steam crosses the dead zone, If the settings of analog stick in your arduino is not digital, not from 0% to 100%, then I can propose you to fix that and make that. Or just try at first minimize dead zone to 0% in steam. But I can surely see that it's possibly doesn't work because of this.

Changed the deadzone, it didn't fix it either, which looks right because if it's the deadzone, then pushing the analog sticks of my DS4 with arcade setting enabled should cause some sort of interaction, like it does on Switch.
I'm guessing it might be related to Steam detecting my controller as a Switch Pro Controller? Maybe Steam needs to detect it as something else, or not. I saw a Youtube video saying if you change the button mappings of the Hori controller, the slider will stop working.
Will continue to poke around and see if i can figure out exactly what is my problem. Until then, i'll just use my mini con with emulated slider on my PC. Thanks for the help!

It seems like Steam also detects the Divaller as some other controller, since you can map the buttons in Steam's controller settings. Hmm...

I do not know really why Hori anyway, but I can propose you to write to https://discord.com/channels/101851954677837824/833703190146580490 this discord channel about project diva controllers, maybe there people can understand your nuances better.

Update: Got help from the discord server, turns out i really needed to trick the game to think I'm using a HORI project diva controller. After updating my VID/PID, the slider started working.
    Thanks for the help!

That's good. But I thought that could be much simpler. But maybe in case of using Arcade mode in game - yeah, if I understand right.

I had a request on my YouTube channel on how I made the base section for my Arcade panel...

It's a small 60cm floating shelf with some holes cut in it, I've taken some pictures using my spare unpopulated panel...

Rectangle holes for the 4 button switches to pass through and a larger one for the cables to pass into the lower part
    [IMG]

Large hole on the bottom to put the PCB and wiring in easily, with rear cutouts for usb and serial ports.

    Mounted on the panel,
    [IMG]

The shelf was a liitle too small so I used 4 L-brackets to attach it using the panel's mounting threads...

The 2 threads at the back of the panel come through drilled holes and a nut to hold it in place
    [IMG]

The rectangle holes visible in the button holes

What I would not give for a way to trick the SteamOS version of the game in the same way.

Hello there, I don't know if this can be attributed to a DIY controller, but I replaced almost all the internals, so I think so. I was really pissed off by the stupidity of the ipega controller slider, so I decided to modify it to a normal one that works natively with pdaft. Here is an example of work and a source of 3D models and various photographs: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PqI2GQMtwiTKi3LLbbsjy1Gp8b6KoodV?usp=sharing . Many thanks to ravinrabbid for creating the Divacon2040 project. https://github.com/ravinrabbid/DivaCon2040
