You know how there's recorded Project DIVA gameplays, PV's, and edits on YouTube? Well, right now I'm having the hardest time getting the audio part from my PSVITA recorded onto my computer. Don't worry, I got the screen part down. And from what I know, it's because my PC doesn't have the Line In option like you see on the picture. I've been trying to find a way to install that option, but no luck. And that's because I've already followed many tutorials but it doesn't work. So if anyone can help me out here I'd really appreciate it ^__^

    facts to know
-computer is a HP laptop on windows 10
-intend to record using audacity software
-connect game to PC with double end 3.5 jack & USB cable
-jack outlet is headphone & mic combo

I first thought it would work with a digital amplifier (DAC) but the PSvita doesn't allow this. So why don't you try with your jack/jack cable and a usb adapter

Thanks, I'll try that. In fact, I did come across this idea but I wasn't sure if I really needed an adapter. And I'll let you know how it went when I can because I don't have one right now.

It's better to record with an amplifier even though it's a tiny one. And this cheap version has an IN/OUT for your project: Vita's headphone jack > microphone.

I use a ground loop noise isolator as well, particularely on the Switch >_<

Oh well, unless I misunderstood something here, what I meant was that I was going to try the cheap adapter from your last post.

And looked up amplifier and don't need that in my opinion. Looked up ground loop noise isolator and I'll consider that from how it helps.

The amplifier will help your PC receive the sound in and the second is just to clean your incoming data.

I thought the usb adapter was what you just said the amplifier is for? Which is getting the sound from the vita to PC. And yeah, I found out that the ground loop noise isolator was for cleaning and making it crisp.

Here's a couple videos I saw for what this is all about. But it's like the picture in my first post, it's not showing to be plugged in. That's where I'm stuck at.

OK I see, I guess your PC doesn't recognize the jack as a microphone, that's why I first told you about the little plug and play amplifier. I already used this for an old PC, a recent MAC and a very old vaio which jack port was dead : it works everytime with no plug in.

Yeah, that's why I said when you mentioned the adapter before is that I'll try it. I came across the idea but I wasn't sure if I really needed an adapter then. And I'll let you know how it went when I can because I don't have one right now.

Yeah, I knew the first video there had to be outdated. But I honestly didn't think the other one was from saying it was in September 2019.

Yup, the USB sound adapter was just what I needed. Haven't tried the loop noise isolator yet. Now if I can just find a rather simple way to 'capture' my game in HQ / HD.

    Hi everyone, I'm back!
I know it's been a while with the last post being in May. I got the trouble I was having audio solved, now if I can just get a good HQ / HD image of my PSVita on screen. I already know that I'll need a PlayStation TV, Game Capture Card, and a HDMI Splitter. And what I'm asking for advice on is what Game Capture Card and HDMI Splitter would work best to get a HQ image on my laptop screen?

Any can do best, I do not think you need to search so hard :)) After all Vita has only HD output, as I know, so in that case picture will not be best because of PSTV output in case of resolution.

If you have modded Vita you can use vita-udcd-uvc as well. As for capture card anything that can do 720p should be able to handle it.

Thanks steelpuxnastik and Doctopus for the advice you two gave. With what you both said about resolution, I don't need it so big or want it so small. The image width can be 720p to 1080p. And I found something that was recently posted that could help with making the image nice & clear when using the PlayStation TV.

It was a couple nights ago just before making my post asking about this that after all the 'research' I did, I had a feeling that the HDMI splitter didn't matter. And as for the game capture card, I've been considering the Elgato Game Capture HD60 S.

Sorry but I'm not quite sure what you mean about the vita-udcd_uvc. That's because I already followed this tutorial to use OBS that involves the udcd_uvc.skprx.

Yes it worked, I was just somewhat under the impression that using the PSTV & game capture card could possibly give a better result after what all I've been looking at. So I wanted to get info about it which led to me doing my post on Wednesday. When I tried using OBS, the games image on my screen was way too bright. And I just realize I'd have to experiment the brightness on the vita to get a better image on the laptop.

And silly me, I just found out that the game card goes into the PSTV. I have my games in the app format because they're from the online playstation store, then downloaded onto my vita through the PSNetwork. So I don't actually have the game card. But I found a PlayStation Vita Cradle/Stand. So unless it happens to replace one of the other 3 gadgets, I'll get the game card. That's what I'm thinking now anyway.
