For those who never got the news; VOCALOID artist WOWAKA, the WOWAKA that brought us classics like “World's End Dancehall”, “Two-Sided Lovers”, “Unhappy Refrain” and “Rolling Girl”, to the underlooked “Unknown Mother Goose”, etc. Yes; that WOWAKA; on the date of April 5th, 2019; has died of Acute Heart Failure. While I had only known of this artist for over 3 years (like all things Miku and such) I can feel the impact the HITRIE vocal guitarist's impact through video form alone, just like those who felt the impact of his music in both Project DIVA and the live concerts associated with it. This is the 3rd death of a producer I've had actually been aware of alongside those of Samfree and CON; that is unfortunately only 1/3 of actual producer deaths; https://vocadb.net/T/3337/deceased.

Like all those touched by his work in some from or another; I send my condolences from across the Pacific Ocean to the other members of HITRIE, and his [WOWAKA's] personal family and friends.

In terms of his cause of death; I think giving some awareness to Acute Heart Failure is just as important as remembering his memory, let alone donating to reputable organizations to help bring an end to this disease and others like it:

His death was so sudden. I'm still in shock. I found out about his band because of his death, which makes me pretty sad. But still I'm glad, he put so much love in his music and I like this kind of music even more than his Vocaloid songs. But currently, I can't listen to it without crying.
Wowaka, you are missed and you will be unforgotten.

Well I am late to the game. I just got into vocaloids early 2020 so this is news to me. Respect to wowaka though, I had played rolling girl before reading this and thought it was a really interesting song that stood out among the other Miku songs. Now I need to listen to the others to understand who this artist was better.
An interesting side point though - when googling his name, Wikipedia lists the instruments he plays. One was Fender Telecaster and the other "instrument" was Hatsune Miku. It wasn't until seeing that just now that I see these vocaloids as instruments rather than characters. Yeah I know you use software to make the music, but the personality of the characters is so heavy that it's easy to lose sight of the fact that they're instruments and real people like wowaka are behind them.

It's a pretty unique type of music in that regard.

I love his songs, especially Rolling Girl beginning from it's first appearance in Project Diva Extended or 2nd, I do not remember already, how many years it was ago? But still, it's very powerful music in feelings and even in how it's imagined in Project DIVA. It's worthy tribute to his music after all.
