EDIT: Future Tone just got announced for release on PSN in Europe and the Americas on January 10th 2017. Original Post: So, Future Tone just got rated by the German USK: So, that means a western release for FT is probably inbound very soon. Hype for the people not wanting to get a JP PSN and buy it there, I guess.
USK 6. For age above 6. ... ahem. So translated lyrics will become kidsfriendly? Or not even touched? lol.
German? That would be great news for German Project Diva players if FT was to get a release there. But would it go on to include the rest of Europe, as well as the US and Australia if it does manage to get a release?
I don't think that's the case, considering F's rating was still affected by meaning of the lyrics even though english translation was not available within the game. Either way, it's still weird.
Maybe they didn't bother checking all lyrics in both packs xD Also, a release in Germany would pretty much guarantee a release in the rest of Europe, seeing as they had a general European release for all other Project Diva games, and the fact that the language is given as "English" in that rating. Also, I'd be more than just surprised if Europe gets a release while the US doesn't.
Really, can't believe it's pg6 ?? I will follow this thread ... definitively waiting for a disc version.
It's basically the exact same version like US and other EU countries. No "kidsfriendly lyrics" etc. In Germany song lyrics aren't that kind of a focus for ratings especially since the lyrics aren't written in german. The only stuff which would be censored is racism music or games which contain too much violence. We don't even have a problem with nudity in games but since the localization teams in Europe are too lazy every release with english screen text only is just a copy of the US version and contains censor from US publishers etc. The rating of 6+ actually means: The descriptions of higher ratings and what exactly makes a game a 12+, 16+ or 18+ release is available on their website (of course they have a translation in english). http://www.usk.de/en/classification/age-rating-symbols/ Funfact: USK is actually more strict than PEGI if it comes to releases with 16+ or 18+. Funfact #2: Project DIVA F, F2nd and X have a 6+ USK rating while Mirai DX is 0+ due to the nendoroid style and VR Future Live is rated 12+. The reason why VR Future Live is 12+ is because the possibility that you can actually look under Miku's skirt if you use specific angles and pause the game in the right moment to bypass SEGA's censor mechanic. A rating in Germany doesn't mean it's only for Germany. USK is just much faster with publishing ratings than PEGI (Austria) or any other EU rating (and also faster than the ESRB in US if a game will be released in EU&US at the same time) but it also means if a game from Japan which also gets a localized version (mostly from US) gets rated in Germany then a general EU release is almost confirmed. If you look up the list of the latest rating classifications you'll actually find more games or rereleases which aren't offically announced yet: http://www.usk.de/en/search-for-title/latest-classifications/ Last but not least, the Arcade rating is removed from the USK site. This actually happens often if the publisher wants to keep a release a secret. Happened to almost every Blizzard game for example.
Some songs are now having their Japanese name over the name they got when they first got localised for F/F2nd (not sure about the songs used in melodies on X in the english version since I don't have the game yet). Clockwork Clown, Sakura Rain and Urbandonment are the ones that have this change (it's the japanese name in english. Romanized is the right term for this right?).
I know how minor it is but I don't get why they are changing Megane to Glasses? If they're not changing Kokoro to Heart, so it just looks weird to have it set out like that. I also don't get why they go with Roshin Yukai instead of Meltdown, if it's something they're forced to do that fine but I don't know anyone who calls it that over Meltdown.
From what I recall, it's on a song-by-song and game-by-game basis, and any translated titles would have be approved by their artists first. So some songs may be translated and others left in romaji, even the same song from game to game.
Sometimes localizations happen out-of-context. Maybe they just literally translated "megane" to glasses.
Not really, unless you count being able to play in 4k if you have a 4k TV. here is a comparison on 1080p: and here is a 4k capture:
Right now FT runs exactly the same on PS4 Pro, atleast that's what I think. I own the PS4 Pro and a 4k TV and I was so excited to see my first native 4k Project Diva, but that's not the case the game looks kind of soft and the PVs lack some antialiasing. I've seen people saying FT has a patch for PRO (my friend told me it appeared on one of the changelogs) but there's nothing. I even asked Sam Mullen about it and this is what he had to say: I don't know when it's coming, if it's coming. tl;dr It's not 4k (when you start the game it says "screencaps will be taken in standard resolution") and surely not enchanced with HDR.
o that sucks, i was hoping pro version would allow it to have better AA or at least have 200% scaling to fit 4k resolution
Do you guys know if or when the dlc packs are available in the us/eu versions? Since a friend of mine bought the eu version 2 days ago and is now pretty mad because the japanese version owners have those already. He did'nt want to create a japanese account and buy the game there.
Sega confirmed on PSBlog that US/EU will get all three dlc packs, each pack releasing at the begining of Feburary, March and April. If your friend really wants the dlc early, the dlc songs can be played without owning Future Sound or Colorful Tone. Though only the Prelude and dlc modules would be avalible, and the dlc cost more on Japan PS Store. (At least compared to $25 in us, though I don't think EU has a confirmed price yet).
Here! This is the message that's shown when you boot up the game on PS4 Pro with the 2160p + RGB output selected (It's in spanish) It says: The UHD captures won't be shown, they're not compatible with this app. The thing is X HD got a Pro patch, and that game is not selling very well, let's hope they do a native 4k port of this game, the ps4 is capable of doing native 4k on The Last Of Us, I'm sure it can run this game too.
