Hello I feel like the notes on freely tomorrow - Extreme is somewhat off, and I wanted to verify if it's like for everyone else edit i meant the timing of the note relative to the song edit 2 these songs have off timings Freely Tomorrow (Extreme) World's End Umbrella (Extreme) edit 3 kind of late cause i was busy if anyone didn't know already, SEGA fixed this with patch 1.0.2 or something
I can confirm, FREELY TOMORROW's offset is earlier than it should. Set timing number to a minus value is needed to fix timing for now.
Have you tried to set your TV to the "Game" setting? Many TVs have presets for special situations such as "Game", "Sport" or "Cinema". On Sony Bravia TV remotes for example these presets can be accessed with the "Theatre"-Button. The "Game" setting should fix some gfx delays.
I was wondering the same thing because I noticed there are other songs for me that are off. As you said Freely Tomorrow seems off as well as Here Comes Karakasa-san, Deep Sea Girl, Meltdown and World's End Umbrella. At least they seem off to me. So far those are the only ones I've come across, the rest of the songs seem fine. So I guess I wasn't the only one who noticed this.
All these things has nothing to do with a wrong offset in a music. Offset sets the time when the note will show up. And it has to match with the music in order to have the right timing. Freely Tomorrow does that not as good as other songs does. And since I use a PC Screen, I have 1ms. So i don't have any visual delays.
i'm using a computer monitor with 2ms response time so it's not the response time also i think it depends on the difficulty as well, i don't think hard mode for freely tomorrow has the issue edit i just played meltdown and its timing is correct edit2 same with deep sea girl, it has correct timing edit 3 colorful x sexy has correct timing as well edit 4 唐傘さんが通る also has correct timing
Wow really? I guess it was just my imagination. Thanks for clearing that up. I just played some of them again and they're timing is right, now I really have no idea how I thought they were off before. That's so weird, I thought for sure they were off and now they feel fine... idk about me lol.
Freely Tomorrow and World's End Umbrella are the only ones I remember having an odd offset. I'm glad it's not just me or my TV like I had originally thought.
I believe Freely Tomorrow has always had sync issues, even in Project Diva F. There is another issue with any music game, going back to even the earliest Bemani titles, which is how well the song's charts are synced with the actual audible music (when the charts are created.) When the devs program the charts, they usually try and be meticulous with this. There are always some songs where it's programmed a little too early or late, though; they slip through the cracks. A couple random songs in the Beatmania series, DDR series, Pop'n Music series, and others had this issue. While at the same time there are always a few songs which are synced supremely well (and you'll notice you usually perform better on those.)
Unfortunately it is not true that Freely Tomrrow had sync issues in PDF, because I am very sure, it was frame issues but not offset issues (or the 12F on my PS Vita is actually a lie...? T-T) Indeed, other games also had these troubles with offset, if you can remember back, when Dreamy Theater Extend was released, there was two songs which was not snyced: Iroha Uta & StargazeR. They manage to fix the issue after a version update. So we need to hope a lot of complaints about Freely Tomorrows offset shall occur, so that the game gets a version update.
For now there's only the workaround to set the delay in options to +30 for these songs... I hope it will get fixed I haven't received any feedback on twitter from pjd_sega yet.
I can confirm: ODDS&ENDS offset is wrong as well, last night made it to #1 rank in extreme if not beaten yet with timing setting at +24
After playing around a bit, I think Weekender Girl and Black Rock Shooter are also off. Setting it to 30+ fixed it for me
A lot of songs in F have timing issues, some earlier, some later. This was noticeable on the Vita and now it carries onto FT cause they kept the timings. I had to set NegaPosi to -20 to be able to clear it. Some other songs from Mirai have this as well, notably Tricolore Airline. However it was fixed with the 1.01 patch. I didn't check the other songs though.
The timing issue and Module glitches have not been fixed but they should be fixed in the newest update the Sega team finally found what the issue is. As it seems the timing issue was different for everyone! Most songs are off for some people while some people had no issue. Some people had to set the timing for Weekender girl to +30 but I perfected it on +0 no problem. While most people had no issues with 1/6 sixth out of gravity I had to play it on -10 to perfect it.
