What if maybe we had a "Highest COOL" board? It would have the limitation of one only being able to submit pictures taken from the score screen, but it would also be beneficial in that those who do well, but do so in live quest mode, would be able to participate as well, on the condition that they aren't using a module with any skills that reduce the number of safes or "catch" voltage or chance time stars. Since the module's skill is visible in the live quest score screen even when the cool/fine/safe/sad/worst counter is open, this shouldn't be a problem. Since Project Diva X has so much of the game play focused in live quest mode which does not save scores that could be a nice addition. Mayhaps. Although it is true it adds work and may be potentially a bit redundant ><

I was actually going to suggest this. I'll understand if it makes too much work for the mods (I already feel bad for overwhelming Miku over this score thing), but it makes the horrible, horrible grind at least a little more productive. The only problem I can really see with this is rush notes, but if it's a separate board then I guess that wouldn't matter.

Uhm... doesn't result a higher COOL rating automatically in a higher score?

Most cases yes, but those better at spamming rush notes can get higher scores from that alone as well ^^. There used to be more of a difference between ability to get highest cools vs highest score in previous project diva games.
Previous project diva games would give bonus during the chance time varying depending on what ranks you're getting so WHEN you got the COOLs would matter. Among hold notes, double notes giving bonus if both notes are hit and not one being held, etc.
Now with the new score system in X it's pretty much highest COOL = highest score except for those rush notes and a bit of hold notes

From the scores I've seen, it appears that the scoring system in X is Percentage based, and while I have no idea what percentage Safes and Sads are, the scoring system kind of looks like this:

    Floor(Cools / Total Note Count * 93000 + Fines / Total Note Count * 93000 * 0.8 + Safes / Total Note Count * 93000 * ??? + Sads / Total Note Count * 93000 * ??? + 1000 per Technical Zone Pass + 5000 per Chance Time Pass + Hold Bonuses + Rush Bonuses) = Score

There are two blanks in there, but that aside you can have easily have the rush note over take the Fine count. Like in the Ultimate Medley, that works out to roughly 88 to 89 per Cool, and a 71 per Fine. A difference of 17 or 18 which is easily overshadowed by one extra press of a Rush Note, or 4 Ticks of a Cool Hold Note over a Fine Hold Note.

Side Note: If you are playing on Easy, replace all the 93000 in the formula with 94000

Thats exactly what i meant with PSTV having a bigger advantage over the PSVita, but most people didnt listen to me, just look at Hisokeees score, take a PSVita and you will never be able to aproach it, so yes, the thought of a COOL highscore table is also being in my mind, Its just that spamming is now considered skill, and if spamming is skill then i dont know what to do anymore, because then i am one of the biggest noobs on this world (Thanks hands for letting me hang after those 3 years of playing Diva, you are a real help), anyway, you all know my opinion, so... i should shut up now <-<

Ok i tried spamming with a PS4 controller and spamming with a vita device... I don't see any difference or is there a specific way of tactic for a PSTV? Sorry but maybe I'm just not clever enough to see the difference... I tried it with both (device/controller) in my hands and both on a table.
The only difference I see would be for the sticks but there aren't many songs with RUSH star notes.

Extended poll by 2 days btw, it runs out on 28th april in case someone wants to change their vote.

did you try spamming with your arms instead of your thumbs, gives around 200-800 more points per rush note, what is a big diffrence in Diva X, its like i said, using a controller while spamming gives a bigger advantage because its not going to fall or slide in your hands as much. I am just saying, go on youtube and look up hisokeees how to spam videos, they make the diffrence clear, just watch any how to spam tutorial, most of them show you that using your arms is still the best way to spam <.<

Ok it seems like 63% of the users chose to let the PSTV scores stay in the vita table. I hope the other 37% won't dislike the choice that much, at least I've tried to let everyone decide on that topic. I just can't make everyone happy every time but if I could I'd do it. I'll add all the scores on monday which were still on hold.

But maybe the PSTV players might want to give vita players a chance and wait with their submissions once the PS4 version comes out. I mean, there's no way to see from a photo if you made the score on a PSTV or a PS4 though... you could easily just submit PSTV scores to the PS4 board. For that issue though.. *ahem* *getting started to speak with a serious voice*

    ATTENTION!
Once the PS4 version comes out there will be a change to the vita rules though. If you have made a highscore on a PSTV and want to add it to the vita highscore table you need to make sure your PSTV console is shown on the photo. This rule will be made to avoid getting PS4 scores on the Vita table.
Score submissions without the PSTV being shown on the photo won't be accepted in the Vita highscore table anymore once the PS4 version comes out. For the PS4 board you won't need to show the console though. This rule will immediately applied one day before the offical release!

Just one thing, there's a huge graphic change in the PS4 version, so you can tell if someone is using remote play, is on PS4 VS PSTV, etc. But I think it's good to have the PSTV shown in the picture. If you haven't seen the PS4 footage on SEGA's Miku channel, I recommend you check it out.
