Hey, just wanting to get a short opinion from you: The reason why Vita/PS3 scores are split is because in the Dreamy Theater games, scoring seems to have been different to the PSP counterparts. Now, with the F series, the handheld and console versions are almost exactly the same, so it would make sense to merge them back together. What's your opinion on this? Is the difference in the controller still enough to keep the tables split, or should be allow owners of both versions to compete with each other?
it should be the same imo i mean vita version finally uses analog as well.. lol i can't even play vita f version anymore because i keep using the analog instead of the touch screen
Well, for me it's not a problem ;) but OveReAction said all, why not asking these 3 players if there is a big difference between playing the same game on PS3 or PSVita ? I remember that Magical39 said he was making better scores on PSVita.
Input lag is my issue. Since I have both the PS3 and Vita versions of F and F2nd I can easily compare my scores and hands down they're better on the Vita. Everyones mileage varies, though. ~Connor
maybe its just a opinion because I'm mad... but split the scores.... on a Facebook group in a little Scorefight i did Sakura no Ame 40Fine...Vitaplayer get 20(but won all other scorings...but this difference is a bit crazy)....and i dont speak of a player like Magical39 lol ... but i dont own a vita so i cant confirm that... but just looking how well Magical makes scores....and always on vita....makes it pretty obvious that vita is better for scoring, but not for hardcoreplay(which dont exists in f2nd because gekishou has a weird notechart) hope i made not too many mistakes while writing lol... did it fast and my english isnt the best xD
Some stats, I just ran a test merge on the tables. If the tables were merged, this would be how many of the entries would be played on each console...: PDf 1st: Vita: 82 - PS3: 46 PDf 2nd: Vita: 72 - PS3: 88 I would love to hear from people who have clocked a lot of playtime (maybe some scores on the tables, or Platinum/a lot of perfects) on whether they think there's a big difference - I played a bit of the PS3 versions recently and personally felt no difference jumping from the Vita to a DS3 (though I really dislike the arcade controller, heh)
I haven't played the Vita versions myself (only PDF/PDF2nd on PS3), but I've heard there's a fair difference between the two in terms of timing. While the timing windows are obviously the same, PS3 players sometimes have to deal with input lag while Vita players don't (pretty sure the Vita doesn't even have the option to adjust timing outside of edit mode). A counterargument to this is that the PS3 versions have the option to adjust the timing of the notes. So I suppose I'm impartial to the scoreboards being merged (although I'd be giving up my dominance of the PDF PS3 table, hehe..) Again, input from Vita players could be valuable.
Merging the PDf/F scores would be a bad idea since those 2 games have different controls. You can't use the control sticks on the vita. It would make more sense for the PJDF2nd scores but due to the different input lags.... well... i dunno. I noticed it myself when I played on PS3 that I was hitting notes too early compared to the PSVita.
