Hori Controller Compatibility

    Has anybody confirmed if the full-size Hori Arcade Controller works with PDF 2nd? I know there was speculation that only the 'mini' controllers would work since the touchpad on the large controller only maps to one analog stick. It would be pretty awful if the $500 controller was no longer usable.

    I'm sure it still works, but double scratches wouldn't work.

    Makes sense. Is is the game properly playable without the ability to do double scratches? Is there an option to turn them off or anything?

    I think there is an option for turning it off, but I think it'd count as assist clears.

    Haha heya! I already answered this for you in the group on FB. :p
    (Chef_McM is one of my close IRL friends, and fellow fan of the game of course.)

    From what I've seen on a few forums elsewhere: the game will be able to detect if you're using the deluxe ASC controller (with the touch screen.) And if so, it will allow you to hit double scratch notes with just a single swipe instead. I knew they would take care of folks that spent so much money on that gorgeous controller. This won't make the game easier to where it matters for scoring/passing, either, as those double notes are rare are still involve one note being counted to your combo in either case. (the actual "difficult" change to the star notes was the scratch notes. In a few songs there's no way to know the timing for them until after you've done it once. But those work the same regardless of controller.)

    Heh, I must have missed your post on the Facebook group. That's good news then. I was actually expecting the opposite, so it's a pleasant surprise. I'm just waiting on the game now.

    I can confirm this too. I just played the demo and it really works. I thought i couldnt use the full sized controller so i am so happy!

    I'm interested to get a Hori Mini one, someone with this controller can tell me if it's a great acquisition?

    Playing with PS3 pad has became a pain for me :(

    Mini controller is amazing. Big controller is bad due to touch screen sensitivity.
