An unrelated question to the topic but in Germany, is tax added to the tag of items or is that shown after you buy something? Like if you buy a shirt that has a base price of 10, would the 2 (rounded) be on the tag itself so it says 12, or do you bring it up to the register and it says 10 then 2 (like here in the US)?

 

Mine will come to customs around monday or tuesday (if by bad luck it gets taxed its normaly 21% the value of it)

The package is actually misleading, if you get the preorder with the messenger bag that is. It comes in a very small package (that would make you think there's only a ps3/vita game inside, but in reality, the bag is also neatly folded in said box with it). I was thinking the messenger bag would be larger (like a "real" messenger bag that has the fold-over flap with snaps to close it, but oh well it was free anyway and made the game cheaper so I can't complain).

Also, what is this "paying for customs" thing? Is this a trend outside of the US? If I had to pay customs fees ON TOP of paying for shipping, that would seriously hurt my bank xD No idea how you guys do it for everything you import, unless you're making mountains of cash and/or your shipping is free, and that would be why you pay the fee at customs...

 

Yep, we have to pay a certain percentage (it differs with the type of item/country in question) of the grand total in customs, most of the time.

I sadly don't make mountains of cash and neither do I usually get free shipping, which makes importing extra expensive. (And everything sold locally in Iceland is also heinously overpriced, so there's really zero ways to win here...)

 

The US has customs too but I think it's only when your order is 300+ dollars (I'm not sure but I read it somewhere)

Where I live taxes are important because that is what we use to pay for health insurance, unemployment pay(?) and things like that so It's almost unavoidable here, I have to pay 21% extra if my parcel comes from outside the EU and is worth more than 22 euros, when it is worth 150+ euros I just have to expect to pay 100+ euros in taxes so I either try to order somewhere where they mark the value down or I have to save extra to pay for the taxes, it is terrible.

I'll probably get my game somewhere next week and I think I'll have to pay around 10-15 euros extra.

 

Just received my copies of the Vita and PS3 versions of the game, with both bags today today. I should be receiving my Ren/Len mini HORI controller within 3 days.

Yeah looks like that's the case. Well that sucks, gotta wait 2 days now.

 

I was lucky so far and its cause its comming from Japan being sent from a friend,
normally everything comming from China the chance is high to pay 21% tax here for its value,

From 4 packages so far only one package (2 vita games) was taxed and paid 25 euros for it,
the other 3 packages i was lucky not to get taxed specially the *package of Masou Kishin 3 + Sen no Kiseki*

Nornally the chance of getting tax for one vita game only is low (cause its coming from Japan again)
(in case it happens i probably have to be prepared for extra 12 euros around lol)

 

They're probably just overworked with orders this month, no need to really worry. If it doesn't come by Tuesday at latest, that's when you need to call again.
