So yeah; after the game’s 2-year grace period as a successful Switch exclusive, it seems like SEGA has FINALLY heard our pleads loud and clear: put it on Steam. (and maybe Xbox) thanks to a LEEK via SteamDB for a item unlock key: “Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+“ seems to all but revealed and seems to be due for May 26th. Seemingly being just the game in it’s 101- song glory, on top of the two Season Passes worth of DLC. (indicated by the ‘+’ in the name and the sole existence of the unlock key and nothing more) Maybe some extra content, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for it… https://steamdb.info/app/1905750/ Sadly it isn’t Future Tone, but I argue what got axed from that game to Mega Mix was mostly filler for the sake of padding an arcade machine for a few extra credits, and If the emulator for Arcade Future Tone was anything to go off by, modders will come to the rescue on that front and by extension here as well. With Colorful Stage/Project Sekai getting all of SEGA’s attention (‘+’ making more money for SEGA in the first 3 months than PSO2 of all things) and Miku’s 15th anniversary on the horizon, it makes sense, It’s seems like another lukewarm anniversary year (i.e. Future Tone DX), though it would of been nice to see something new(er) for a change game-wise for all platforms. Who knows? maybe that digitally themed, open-zone game named after a audio equipment company that SEGA’s been optimistically polishing up could be the ‘world colliding’ Hatsune Hail Mary of a anniversary event nobody asked for, but that’s just me and my mildly-autistic brain spin-dashing spitballing: While this is a bit of an ad for a game that I didn’t play, and thought I mention since the creator happens to be a follower of mine on Twitter, you can always play Project Heartbeat:
Finally some news on official Project Diva on Steam Deck without emulation. IDK about whether or not to recommend PH, on one hand it's arguably the best Project Diva simulator with great performance and ergonomic chart editor. On the other hand it still feels really off in general when transitioned from PD and doesn't correctly implement all the mechanics PD had.
That's the API release date, AKA when the store page will go live, we still don't have any info on the actual release date.
Good. But, probably, it can be release too, because I do not think it needs preorders or something like that. Immediately on sale and drove. I think it could be normal move. If I am not mistaken, the same was with Persona 4. But we'll see.
It's out... Has Denuvo though 170 songs, ft and switch graphics options The requirements are virtually the same as the arcade version so will run on almost anything,
Mods will fix that, I hope. When denuvo will be fixed may be next year, or after next year.. Game for AMD/Intel users.
The denuvo will definately cause problems, however it may be possible to use elements of the steam version on the arcade one. The biggest benefit could be working out how sega made it perfectly compatible with AMD and Nvidia cards. Edit: It does have all the songs, you have to buy the deluxe version.
Oh yes, but I somehow have some doubts about quality. I won't be surprised if it turns out that in many ways everything is the same as in the arcade version.
Exactly, I won't be getting it yet as it offers nothing I don't have with my cabinet. Plus the Denuvo is bad - I held out on Sonic Mania for a year until it was gone.
One song was deleted due to license expiration. I do not remember, but something like "39's.."? On arcade official site you can find about that.
I meant Kagamine HachiHachi Flower Fight by Moja. They said they couldn’t reach the producer to get the rights. This time, how was it?
In discord some people say that on japanese official site of mega39+ says that game has missing songs and, it's a hint that later will be another DLCs with new (cut before) songs
