it's been nearly a year since X came out (vita version) and I haven't heard anything in a while, anyone know if we are only getting 2 songs as DLC?

I was really expecting them to release Snow Fairy Story - 40mp to go along with the 2015 yuki miku outfit, but we didn't get anything.

When FT was released, SEGA gave us season pass, telling us that there will be 3 DLC packs, but there hasn't been anything like that with X. Is sega hinting us that they are not making anymore DLC for X?

It seems to be that there are no plans to make DLC for X.
I also find a dlc of snow fairy story fairly unlikely considering Suki! Yuki! Honki Majikku never got a chart to go with the snow miku 2014 module, either.
    Unfortunately :(

Though hopefully this just means more songs saved for the next installment that hopefully wont be all dance pvs! ^^

X has to be the worst game in the series if we aren't getting more DLCs (since they know better after making project diva, 2nd, ext , f , f2nd, mirai, dx/2 and future tone and other spin offs)

i wonder if SEGA blew their budget on Miku VR and couldn't afford to make DLCs for X

Yeah, I was thinking the same a while back. They should have added another song or two by now, if they were going to. Really sucks they just abandoned it. This way X pretty much manages to simultaniously be the best Project Diva when it comes to the soundtrack (there is exactly one song in the entire songlist I dislike, also it has Lost One's Weeping, literally best song in the series ever) but also to be the worst, from a standpoint of not having edits, a pretty short songlist and no DLC on top of that. Not even talking about the gameplay decisions with the damn clouds and module drops.

in my opinion, one of the the worst things about the game is that miku is singing 28 songs (dlc included) and the others (especially kaito) literally nothing. i love miku but that's just too much. well, at least holy lance explosion boy and the lost one's weeping are in the game, but it's too little content from the other vocaloids. it's annoying for me to play the songs over and over (because of the stupid module/accessory/room/gift item drops that were already mentioned) with the different charakters and beeing forced to hear mikus voice all the time. why didn't they add the mirai feature to change the vocals? honestly, that's one of the important things missing in X.

that's why i'm waiting and waiting for some dlc songs (from the other vocaloids) but i guess that's still gonna take a while (IF they think about any dlc).

Oh, yeah, the lack of variety is definitely bad. Rin literally just having one solo song is definitely not enough. Same for Luka. I couldn't care less about Kaito and Meiko, since I would probably not even miss them if they were cut entirely from the game, but still, it's a bit much Miku compared to the others. Especially in the medleys. the only medley to NOT have primarily Miku is the Chaos Medley. And the 2 DLC songs they did add being Miku songs didn't really make anything better.

I feel it may have more to do with X's poor reception in general especially when up against Future Tone. I'm betting it's the same reason we're getting FT in English. It sold way better than X, SEGA realised that, decided there's no point putting extra work into a game few are buying/enjoying and put the team onto other projects rather than DLC (most likely VR).
Wasn't X called more of an experiment for the series anyway, if they were sure of it's quality they would have done more F 2nd style season passes.

With how Future Tone is being handled, with it's constant updates, it does feel like that will be the only game we get now. It wouldn't make much sence to release another game with less songs than it.

So yeah X is dead and I wouldn't be surprised if every other possible Diva game is now too with FT around.

I think the biggest killer for X is the lack of a true Edit Mode like how F and F2nd had it. And unless this is sorted out in time prior to X2nd's potential release (makes sense for it to be the next game in the Diva series), then X2nd will most likely suffer from the same issues that X has gone through. Just have to hope that Sony can deliver a MP3 storage update for the PS4 to allow the saving of MP3s. They do that, then it's pretty much guarenteed that the next Diva game in the series will have the Edit Mode that we all wanted to see instead of the one that X has.

The lack of edits is unfortunately not something that will ever be sorted out on PS4. Sony has no interest in putting file storage on the console. Or support for music files, in general. What we'd need for a working Ediit mode would be some sort of PC tool for creating them, and uploading them to storage from the PC, incuding the music, and then just get it as custom DLC, kinda, from the storage, in-game. But I doubt SEGA would do something like that. And even if they did, they'd probably have to have pretty strict copyright guidelines for that. So yeah, Edit mode won't be back unless the next console brings back music file storage, or Project Diva changes platform. (And honestly, I all I'd really ever need would be an official Project Diva on PC, cause everything concerning edits would be really freaking easy there.)

Also, I doubt they'll even do another main series Project Diva game on PS4, unless they manage to do one with at least 50 songs that haven't been in any game before, incuding FT. Just cause people would probably be like "Hey, why should I buy that if I have FT"

Well, X is already the weakest game in the Project DIVA series, with or without DLC.
Since the focus is on Future Tone currently with the upcoming release we'll just have to wait what will happen once Future Tone and the 3 DLC packs are released. Maybe X will get some content afterwards.

But even though, besides the 2 songs for X you forgot to mention the Snow Miku modules etc.

Of course. We know now the next 4 songs which will get added in DLC 3, so the next 4 to be added to Arcade FT will be part of DLC 4. And it seems we get a DLC release every 3 months from what I've seen so DLC 3 for FT should be out around March/April.

As for X, I don't know for sure if it'll get anymore DLC. Just going to have to wait and see what happens.
