I prefer to post here all the homemade controllers I found when I was thinking about doing mine.

I've been working on a little (30x40cm) Future Tone controller since I really don't like the hori little one.
    I nearly forgot that I had to use all L1/L2 & R1/R2 for the twin slide (>> & <<).

Take care with the drilling point, a sanwa 30/24/40mm is easy but big 100mm depends on their origin (original Sanwa or China cheap model).

You can build a controller using a pcb of an old pad, I did mine on a Fighting commander 4 hori one.

I will add pictures later (mine as well).

All that pics can help you to build your own PjD controller.

I'm following Tomtortoise project on shoryuken forum, but he's waiting for his order from akishop. He chose the same obsa 100umq I bought. The best 10cm buttons ever.

    Here is another controller.

does anyone know what spring the actual arcade cabinet uses for their 100mm buttons?
    100g, 200g, 400g.. etc?

    Yes, only 200g.

The 100g are too soft and the 400g are used for UFO catcher (too strong).

Hey, I'm famous. I also have an instructable on my project here for anyone looking for how to build a controller.

    http://www.instructables.com/id/Project-Diva-FTCT-Arcade-Controller/

As for the springs, I have been playing with 200g. I have played the 400 with PoPn at an arcade but I feel they may be too strong with such a spread out layout. I do have some 400 on the way though for whenever akishop gets my other triangles sent out though, RIP order.

    Glad to see you here.
I follow many controller project before and after doing mine and I decided to share all the projects I met to help or inspire homemade FT controllers.

I was wondering, didn't you forget the 2 slides on your controller (>> and <<). I had this impression when I first check your drawings.

I nearly did this mistake and drew a new plan.

Another custom controller with a stick as a D-pad (I guess it's not an analog one).

I started making mine last week. Been following Tomtortoises' build. I went with a wooden build though. I will post up some pictures when I get my acrylic in this week and finish it up. Wiring is going to be fun lol

That's fun to see my friends one on the first post, I gived him my arcade layout graphics for him, so let's share mine :3
He's pretty old now (2013-2014) and jsut had been updated for PS4 with new motherbord (Hori Mini Fighting Stick)

Now I'm seriously looking to found what springs and microswitches are the best to find again the arcade feeling :3

Speaking of springs, does anyone know where to get softer springs for the 100mm and 60mm dome buttons? I purchased my buttons from Adafruit. The sanwa ones were waaaaay too much so I got these instead but they seem hard to press (not sure what weight they are as well)
